MTS-Ukraine – is a pioneer of mobile communication in Ukraine. The first call from mobile phone has sounded in far 1993. Nowadays, in 15 years, every second Ukrainian uses MTS communication.

 

MTS-Ukraine is 100% affiliated company of Joint Stock Company «Mobile TeleSystems» (MTS) – the largest mobile phone operator in CIS, Central and Eastern Europe. Together with affiliated companies MTS services over 92,19 million subscribers in Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Armenia, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. The company profit for 2008 is USD 1,662 billion.

 

All MTS network covers the area on which live more than 230 million persons. MTS-Ukraine network covers more than 97% of Ukrainian territory on which lives 99% of population and services about 17,94 million subscribers.

 

MTS constantly supports the innovative company status, in particular company offers services on the basis of such newest technologies, as CDMA-450 in Ukraine, 3G (UMTS) – in Russia, Uzbekistan and Armenia. MTS the first in Ukraine, and also one of the first in Russia, has started the service of protected corporate e-mail BlackBerry. Besides, the company continues to work actively in area of convergent services - a new mobile industry benchmark which provides the active interconnected coexistence of several communication technologies, for example, mobile and fixed communication, data transmission within the limits of the protected corporate networks, the high-speed mobile Internet and other.

 

For its innovation and high quality of services MTS received recognition from world experts. So, in April, 2008 MTS brand became the first and unique brand from CIS brand which  has entered in the BRANDZ™ Top 100 Most Powerful Brands, a ranking published by the Financial Times and Millward Brown, a leading global market research and consulting firm.

 

In April, 2009 MTS brand has entered this rating again, but on much higher position.

 

Summarizing the results of GfK Ukraine Company and magazine "Correspondent" rating, by results of 500 companies quiz, MTS-Ukraine was included in trinity of the best country employers. The person, who works in MTS, receives not only the big career growth prospects in prestigious company, but also an invaluable experience. 

 

Since 2007 MTS-Ukraine has joined to the network of The United Nations Global Compact

for acknowledgement the obligations concerning business with universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption. The company always gives a great attention to advancement of principles of social responsibility and 10 principles of The United Nations Global Compact. Corporate social responsibility is one of the major strategic priorities of MTS-Ukraine activity. MTS-Ukraine activity is constructed on social responsibility before state, consumers, employees, partners, competitors and Ukrainian society altogether.

 

On March, 15th, 2007 MTS-Ukraine was the first among the telecommunication companies in Ukraine which has received the Certificate of European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) «Perfection Recognition» which confirms the high standards of communication operator work. Getting of this Certificate is recognition of management leadership practices, professionalism, creativity and high motivation of MTS-Ukraine business stuff which help to reach the high quality in work, to build successful relations with partners and clients.

 

In 2007 MTS-Ukraine was acknowledged as the most known socially responsible company of Ukraine according to population opinion and to independent research which was made by UMG Company.

 

In 2008 MTS-Ukraine was acknowledged as a leader by results of the public issue of importance estimation which was spent by independent PRP Group Company within the limits of reputation audit of all telecommunication market participants in Ukraine.
